Haulage Exchange 'Comes Out' to Visit 'Freight Dating' Clients

The company plans to 'come out' with a series of visits to its clients based around the United Kingdom, taking in their feedback and establishing how the freight exchange is helping logistics companies and owner operators around the country improve their business and productivity with more loads and return journeys.
While the company still wishes to remain a neutral trading hub for the haulage industry, they feel this personalised touch is important for obtaining valuable feedback to assist with improvements to the freight exchange and providing new services to its membership of logistics companies and owner operators.
Haulage Exchange's Managing Director Lyall Cresswell is keen to explain why the days spent out on the road and out of the office are time well spent for his staff. "When you're in the office all the time, it's very easy to lose track of the customers who have been responsible for our recent successes," he says. "Although we have always tried to provide our customers with personal contact, we think visiting them in person is important: Our freight exchange's users are out on the road and it's important to keep in touch with them, rather than some text on a screen. It's also a great way of gauging response from our customers and finding out what they like and don't like about the freight exchange."
Luke Davies will be leading the tour of the Midlands, which is visiting three of the haulage companies and owner operators that regularly use the site to find more loads and return journeys. Mr Davies had previously been subjected to a warm welcome from the haulage companies on the South Coast who were happy to tell of their freight success stories. Haulage Exchange have no plans to let up on these trips, and the company are already planning more with likely regions targeted being Birmingham and the North East.
Another benefit to this campaign of visits is content for the website. With much of the site's content taken up by the complexities of the freight exchange itself, the company is pleased to spice things up a bit by chronicling their experiences on the road with detailed case studies of several of the haulage businesses and owner operators they visit. The pages have already proven popular with some of the regulars on the site, allowing an insight for each haulier into their friends and rival's businesses.
